Brownies, but not as you know it! These are sugarless, flourless brownies, made using chickpeas and kidney beans. With a banana thrown in for good measure and sweetened with honey. And they taste AMAZING. You can’t taste the beans, they just make it gooey and fudge like, how brownies should be. Slightly less guilty noms for all

This week has included -

A slightly disappointing Descendents show, made infinitely worse by someone stealing my iphone, at the gig. Seriously, if I could get my hands on them, I would hip check them into next week

An age old stress related illness flaring up again due to phone saga

Realising I don’t really have enough money to buy a new phone

However not being one to dwell or be pessamistic (who am I kidding?) this week will hopefully be better ‘cos -

I get to hang out with one of my good friends tomorrow over dinner

I’m planning something rather drastic that I’ve been mulling over for a while now

BBQ and beer drinking with friends

…forgot about this. In an attempt to encourage myself to document, vent, splurge and put thoughts to paper (or screen) I will try and breathe some life into this thing - again.

To start, here are some things I’m currently enjoying and that are, in the smallest of ways, stimulating my creative senses, because they are beautiful, raw, free and a beacon of something good -

Listener. Incredible. Just jaw droppingly amazingly beautiful words.

Roller Derby. This has become a bigger part of my life, more than I ever imagined it would. It has pretty much held me together this past year. A constant striving to be better and I’ve met some amazingly awesome ladies because of it. That’s me there at the front.

The arrival of Spring. Hello Sun! I cannot say how happy the weather at the moment is making me.

Healthy/Tasty Snacks. I like food. Like really really like. I’ve been getting a few of these in the post courtesy of a coupon from the Guardian. It’s a pretty cool idea, made even better by the charity they support in Uganda - encouraging and supporting sustainable farming amongst students and young people

friends and family. You are my rock.

Seeing that last dude this weekend. Fun times ahoy. Hopefully they will involve some beers in the sun, tattoos, good chats and ice cream

Ok, so I think I may have fallen in love….with roller skating and roller derby to be exact. I do believe I have found a sport I could potentially be pretty good at. That has never happened before.

I’m expecting an epic bruise on my left knee when I wake up tomorrow, (I think I went wrong on one of my baseball slides) but I still can’t wait for the next practise on Sunday.

Skate fast, skate hard.

As the title suggests, I’m currently drinking coffee, listening to an array of nice Sunday music (in particular, phosphorescent) and setting up this blog so I can have somewhere to present my writing that I’ve been storing up for the last while and encourage myself to do something with my thoughts. It’ll probably include other odds and sods of things that I like, videos, songs, images, other peoples thoughts. Lastly, I very much like this man.
